Al-Nakeeb affirms government's interest in reducing maternal

LAHJJ, March 29 (Saba)- Governor of Lahj Muhssen al-Nakeeb affirmed
the government's interest in mother and child through supporting the
health programs that aim at reducing children and maternal mortality.

In his speech at the first meeting of journalists that held on
Sunday al-Nakeeb called to raise awareness of the society about the
importance of reducing the mortality among mothers and children.

For his part, the general director of public health office in Lahj
Omer Zain affirmed the necessity to change the society's behavior to
spread health message on reducing maternal mortality.

The meeting discussed issues focusing on the reasons of maternal
deaths and health of mothers and child in Lahj, Aden, and al-Dhalea
governorates.

The meeting was attended by 50 journalists also aimed at defining
the dangers that threat health of mothers and children.
