King`s patronage of Accountancy Conference is an impetus for growth: Rida
Riyadh, March 30, SPA -- Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah
bin Ahmad Zainal Ali Rida has affirmed that the patronage of the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of the
international Saudi Accountancy Conference embodies his keenness on
giving an impetus to the Kingdom's development march in all sectors.
Addressing the conference's inaugural session here last night, he
said the Kingdom is keen on developing accountancy and auditing
procedures realizing their great importance in enhancing the
components of the national economy.
"These are effective means of putting the activities of the
establishments under control and making the required information
available for taking the proper decisions," he said.
Rida noted that the efforts for developing accountancy have been
culminated into the approval of a well-defined Chartered Accountants'
System, which stipulated the establishment of the Saudi Commission
for Chartered Accountants.
