PAN TO COMMUNICATE WITH GOLKAR, PDIP SOON

Depok, Indonesia, March 30 (ANTARA) - National Mandate Party (PAN) chairman Soetrisno Bachir will soon communicate with the leaders of Golkar Party, Jusuf Kalla, and Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), Megawati Soekarnoputri, to talk about a possible coalition.

"I am going to meet with the leaders of the two political parties soom," Soetrisno Bachar said after delivering his political oration at election campaign rally at Samudera square in Rangkapan Jaya here on Monday.

He said the meeting would be held after legislative election on April 9, 2009.

"It is enough for us to make decision to coalesce with any parties during April 10 and May 10, 2009," Soetrisno Bachir said.

Bachir added that he had made political communication earlier with the parties which would probably pass Preliminary Threshold (PT), namely Democrat Party (PD), Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), National Awakening Party (PKB), and United Development Party (PPP).

"I have met with the leaders of those four political parties," Bachir said.

He said the requirement for those parties to coalesce with PAN was that the parties should support PAN's program by preparing Rp1.5 billion funds for all rural areas across Indonesia.

"I have proposed that 10 percent of State Budget be allocated for rural development," he said, adding that the development in Indonesia should start from rural areas in order to prevent the villagers from going out to seek job in other cities or aborad.
Therefore, he said there should be real funds for rural economic development.

Soetrisno Bachir arrived at the rally site by a helicopter which took him from Soekarno-Hatta airport on his arrival from Surabaya, East Java earlier in the day.

At the final round of PAN campaign in Depok, a woman who participated in the rally collapsed and had to be given medical treatment because she was too tired to join the rally.***
