JAPAN EXPLORING COOPERATION IN TRADE WITH S. SULAWESI
Makassar, March 30 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Consulate General in Osaka, Japan, will facilitate business contacts and meetings between businessmen of South Sulawesi province and Japanese businessmen in 2009.
"The business meeting will be held in the framework of organizing a workshop with aim to inspire Japan to open their export market," Consul General Mozes Tandung Lelating said here on Monday.
He further said that the meeting between Japanese businessmen and their Indonesian counterparts of South Sulawesi province will focus on micro, small and medium businesses which have been facing difficulties in getting access into the export market in Japan.
"Why could China enter Japan. In fact, Indonesia especially South Sulawesi has the potentials to enter that market," he said.
Through this business meeting, he hoped that the businessmen of both sides will be able to establish a market for the export commodities from South Sulawesi in Japan. The meeting has to be held in order to explore the province's products eligible to enter the market in Japan.
"Domestic products are having difficulties to enter Japan, as that country is very selective and too demanding," he said.
