RI PRESIDENT TO MEET BRITISH PM GORDON BROWN
London, March 31 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street, London, on Tuesday at 1 pm London time or 7 pm Western Indonesian Time.
Prior to the meeting with Prime Minister Brown, Yudhoyono would hold an internal meeting with members of his official delegation to the upcoming G-20 Summit.
He would later hold bilateral meetings respectively with Chairman of British Conservative Party David Cameron, and Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd at JW Marriot Hotel, where the Indonesian head of state and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono are staying during their three-day visit in London.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Indonesian president would deliver a speech on "Indonesia: Regional Role, Global Reach" at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
He would meet the Indonesian community living in Britain, at the Indonesian embassy in London in the evening.
On Wednesday (April 1), Yudhoyono is scheduled to have meetings respectively with Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, Duke of York
Prince Andrew, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, and British Crown Prince Charles.
He will later attend a reception to be hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckhingham Palace, and a dinner to be hosted by the British Prime Minister for the G-20 member countries' heads of state/government.
On Thursday (April 2), Yudhoyono will attend the G-20 Summit to be held at the Exhibition Center of London (Excel) but he will not stay until the end of the Summit on April 4.
After delivering a speech before the Summit's participants on Thursday noon, he will leave London for Surabaya, East Java Province, where he will lead a campaign rally for his Democratic Party, on Friday (March 3).
Members of the presidential entourage in London include Foreign Affairs Minister Hassan Wirajuda, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sri Mulyani, Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Aburizal Bakrie, Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, Environmental Affairs Minister Rachmat Witoelar, Legislator Theo Sambuaga, Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board M Lutfi, and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) MS Hidayat.
