“Easel art by Otgontuvden” solo exhibition by artist B.Otgontuvden is being displayed at Sengeragi art gallery.
With his works, the artist tried to demonstrate the mindset, changes in opinions, solidarity, conflict, struggles of people in modern society and aspects of social media in his own unique way, through different looks and emotional expressions of a person.
Synch: “Works of several types such as Instagram, weChat and facebook are displayed at the exhibition. It shows that all things are dependent on social networking sites today. Electricity is the vital part of our lives today. Without it, life is pointless. In one of my paintings, there is a hanging phone. What will happen if we unplug it? In this way, I wanted to deliver this kind of message to people.”
B.Otgontuvden studied decorative arts for two years at the School of Fine Arts, four years at the Voronezh State Academy of Arts and graduated from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts. He then worked at the academy as a professor.
Synch: “In 2012, I graduated with honors from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts which has the history of over 270 years. Director of the Academy offered me to teach. I worked at the Academy for about three years. At that time, my professors told me to return to my country and create arts while young. The academy will be waiting for you 10, 20 years later. It has been two years since I returned to Mongolia.”
In addition to the exhibition pieces, his early works of college days were presented at the gallery. The exhibition will run until May 11.
