Japanese's government finances 16 development projects during

SANA'A, March 31 (Saba) - The total development projects funded by
the Japanese government during the period 2008-2009 is 16 projects
at a cost of $1.2 million.

A statement issued by the Japanese embassy indicated that the
Japanese development projects covered 11 governorates via civil
society organizations, local council, health and education offices,
water authority and international organizations working in Yemen.

The Japanese embassy pointed out support for infrastructure of
schools to encourage more students to the enrollment in basic
education, assess the disable people to integrate into the community
through training and rehabilitation and improving health status and
clean environment in residential areas.

The embassy also called the civil society organizations in some of
districts to submit requests to finance eligibility projects at cost
less then $100,000 for 2009.
