Commemorative Stamps Issued in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- The State Stamp Bureau of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea issued new stamps (one sheet and one individual stamp) in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victorious battles in the Musan area commanded by President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese armed struggle. Seen on the upper part of the stamps are letters "80th anniversary of the victorious battles in the Musan area". The individual stamp carries a picture of the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Musan Area with the statue of Kim Il Sung, legendary hero of the great anti-Japanese war who led the offensive in the Musan area to a brilliant victory. A sheet carries pictures of a group of large subsidiary theme sculptures showing guerrillas who displayed unparalleled bravery in the battles of the Musan area, the sketch of the battles in the Musan area and others. -0-
