Riyadh, April 01, SPA -- Dr. Abdul Wahid Khalid AlHumaid, the Deputy
Labor Minister, will lead the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia to the 36th session of Arab Labor Conference to be held from
April 9 to 16 in Amman, Jordan.

The conference will discuss a report on "Movement of Arab labor,
Opportunities and Hopes" as well as the second part of the report on
"Economic Crisis and its Impact on the Arab Labor Market."

The agenda of the Conference's four technical committees will focus
on
development and operation; the application of conventions and
recommendations that consider the actions and measures undertaken by
Arab countries in the implementation of the Arab conventions'
provisions; the media and its role in promoting the culture of work;
the Arab investments and their role in the advancement of the labor
market and discussion of the decisions of the economic summit and
the Doha Declaration of the Arab Forum on Development and Employment.

It also will examine the Arab standard classification of occupations
Project 2008, which includes approximately 1,200 new professions in
preparation for adoption and approval from the conference.

The Project is a key tool for the exchange of information and the
movement of individuals from an Arab country to another through the
use of the definite unitary coded job description that helps to
determine the skill levels and wages.

The classification project has been prepared by Arab experts in
conformity with relevant international classification while
maintaining the Arabian Privacy (way of life).
