BURST DAM DEATH TOLL REACHING 100
Tangerang, Indonesia, April 1 (ANTARA) - The number of deaths in the recent Situ Gintung dam burst in Cirendue, Tangerang, reached 100 following the discovery of a male victim at around 11am on Wednesday.
"The toll until Wednesday evening was confirmed at 100," coordinator of the Media Center of the Situ Gintung Main Aid Center, M Yuhdi, told ANTARA.
He said the body of a man of about 25 years old discovered that morning was now at the Fatmawati hospital for an autopsy and identification.
Regarding the number of evacuees Yuhdi said it was recorded at 902 located in four evacuation centers.
He said 26 people were still not treated at the Fatmawati hospital (2) and the Muhammadiyah University's Medical Faculty (24) for injuries sustained from the disaster while 36 others were undergoing out-patient treatment.***
