S. Korea to slap antidumping duties on Thai, Malaysian particle board
SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean government said Friday that it will
slap antidumping duties on particle board imported from Thailand and Malaysia for
the next three years.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said in a statement that it will impose an
extra 7.67 percentage points in tariffs on top of the basic duty of 8 percent on
the products, mostly used in construction and interior work.
The move goes into effect next month and comes as the Korea Trade Commission has
been conducting a probe since May of last year into allegations Thai and
Malaysian companies are selling particle board at excessively low prices in the
domestic market.
