Speaker congratutulates US Congress counterparts

Manama, July 3 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, sent cables of congratulations to US House of Representatives Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and Senate President, Mike Pence, on their country’s Independence Day. She wished them abundant and happiness, and the friendly American people further progress and prosperity. The speaker stressed the depth of the friendly relations between the two countries and their peoples, thanks to the distinguished relations between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Donald Trump. She also affirmed the keenness of the Council of Representatives to enhance its cooperation with the US Congress through launching more joint programmes. The speaker sent a similar congratulatory cable to the US Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin Siberell.
