By Sam Kim
SEOUL, April 5 (Yonhap) -- Convening a meeting of top commanders, South Korea
cautioned its forces to stay on heightened alert along its border with North
Korea as the communist state appears to have shot a long-range rocket despite
warnings not to, an official said.
Defense Minister Lee Sang-hee and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Kim Tae-young
convened the "crisis management committee" meeting and issued orders for their
655,000 troops to stay ready against any possible provocations that could
accompany the launch, the official said.
