Foreign Minister meets Saudi counterpart

Manama, July 28 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today his Saudi counterpart, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, in the presence of a number of Ministers and senior officials from both Kingdoms. The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the meeting reflects the approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which focuses on sustaining coordination and consultations between the two countries at the highest level and in all fields. He noted that the establishment of the Coordination Council between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a new strategic initiative that will reinforce the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation at all levels. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hailed the solid bilateral ties, affirming that the council will provide a new framework for cooperation between the two Kingdoms. The Director-General of the King Fahad Causeway Authority, Eng. Emad Al-Muhaisen, delivered a presentation on King Hamad Causeway project in addition to other future plans to develop King Fahad Causeway. The meeting resulted in signing the minutes of the establishment of the Coordination Council between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will include a number of specialised committees in various political, military, economic, investment, media, social and other vital fields.
