GOVT TO DISBURSE FISCAL STIMULUS FUNDS THIS MONTH
Batam, April 4 (ANTARA) - The government is currently processing its fiscal stimulus package and will begin disabusing the funds later in April, National Development Planning Minister Paskah Suzetta said.
"The disbursement of the funds is now under process. We hope it can be realized later this month," the minister said here Friday.
He said the Rp73.3 trillion fiscal stimuli would be distributed to all regions in Indonesia, except Batam, which was being built by the government as a free trade zone.
The minister said the amount of stimulus funds that would be distributed to regions was not too big. In order to overcome the limited amount of stimuli funds for the implementation of regional projects, the bappenas was preparing a financing program in the form of public private partnership (PPP).
The central government through the Bappenas would serve as a facilitator for the financing program amounted to Rp400 trillion.
"The sources of the PPP funds would be various investors, both domestic and foreign ones," he said.
Suzetta said that the government hope the fiscal stimuli would solve various welfare problems being faced by the people, adding that it would be able to enhance jobs and solve employment problems.
"We can absorb up to one million workers," he added.***
