INDONESIA, SAANXI EXCHANGE BUSINESSMEN

Xi'an, China, Apr 5 (ANTARA) - Indonesia and Shaanxi province in China will have an exchange of businesspeople and investors to increase cooperation as prospects for this are still wide.

These remarks were made by Indonesian Ambassadorto China Sudrajat and Shaanxi Deputy Governor Zhao Zhen Rong, when the two met in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, Sunday.

The meeting was also attended by Indonesian Trade Attache in Beijing Imbang Listiyadi, Head of the Economic Section at the Indonesian Embessay in Beijing Iwan S. Amri, Head of the Social and Cultural Section at the Indonesian embassy in Beijing Rosmalawati Chalid, and a number of high government officials of the province.

Ambassador Sudrajat and party visited Xi'an within the framework of Indonesia's participation in the 13th Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China on April 5-8, 2009 which will be attended by hundreds of local and foreign business companies.

"We have invited businesspeople and investors from Shaanxi to invest in Indonesia. I know investors in this province are greatly interested in investment in the mining sector," the Indonesian ambassador said.

He said actually there are still many other sectors in Indonesia still wide open Shaanxi, like trade and tourism.

On the same occasion, the ambassador also wished the local tourists to visit a number of tourist objects and destinations in Indonesia, as many Indonesian tourists are now familiar with the "Terra Cotta" as a strong tourist attraction in Shaanxi.

In a general sense, he said, the economic relations between the two countries had been going on well following the signing of a strategic cooperation between the two countries by President Yudhoyono his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao in Jakarta in April 2005.
