Public warned against cyber scam

Manama, Aug.15 (BNA): Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security warned on against some fake websites managed from outside Bahrain that promise their victims of fast wealth. “The fake websites use names and logos of known and trustworthy websites to deal and invest money in shares and currencies. They cheated their victims of quick and significant revenues”, he said. He urged social media users to avoid dealing with those suspicious websites. He requested the public to file complaints, get their inquiries answered or provide feedback by calling the round the clock hotline 992.
