MKF celebrates centenary of formal education in Bahrain

Manama, Aug. 24 (BNA): In line with its ongoing commitment to developing education in the Kingdom, Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation (MKF) is collaborating with the Ministry of Education to launch a series of initiatives and events in celebration of the centenary of formal education in the Kingdom. Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation’s cooperation with the Ministry of Education comes within four different initiatives which include selecting student volunteers from the Foundation to support the efforts put forth by the Ministry of Education in organising the events held in celebration of the 100th anniversary of formal education in Bahrain. This initiative caters to the Foundation’s goal of instilling a sense of social responsibility among students. MKF is also keen to raise awareness on this significant historic occasion through its communication correspondence by including the logo of the centenary of education along with the Foundation’s logo on the website and email signatures throughout the celebration period. In addition, the Foundation affirms its support towards the initiative through raising awareness on different media and social media channels. MKF students will participate in the compilation of a short film dedicated to showcasing the efforts of the educational teaching staff throughout the year, which will then be presented on the Foundation’s website and social media channels. Commenting on the collaboration, H.H. Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, MKF’s Board of Trustees’ Chairperson: “We would like to thank the Ministry of Education for this promising opportunityand we are keen on strengthening our cooperation with the Ministry through celebratingsuch national, historical events in the Kingdom. We hope that the Foundation’s initiatives will support the growth and development of education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.” Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation is a non-profit foundation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Established in 2011, it aims to create a positive impact in the education field and empower Bahraini youth to reach their optimum potential by providing knowledge, skills, and expertise which will benefit them and the Kingdom as a whole.
