Wife of HM the King congratulated on SCW anniversary

Manama, Aug. 26 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW), over the 18th anniversary of the council’s foundation.
The minister lauded the Bahraini women’s major civilisational accomplishments in the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Humaidan stressed that the Supreme Council of Women thanks to the wise vision of Her Royal Highness was instrumental in empowering of Bahraini women and the inclusion of their needs in developmental plans to ensure cohesive familial bonds and stability, boosting the principle of equal opportunities to ensure the competitiveness of the Bahraini women and pursue education and learning to ensure the diversity of choices available for them to ameliorate the quality of life thanks to Bahrain's women supportive legislations and policies allocating them large spaces to exercise their familial role and continue their career growth and preservation of women’s rights at the various workstations.
The minister hailed the considerable efforts being exerted by Her Royal Highness in uplifting the Bahraini women’s status that contributed effectively in the achievement of numerous gains in revitalization of women’s status and qualifying them to assume their leading role within the family and on the various careers and production sites thanks to the quality projects and programs that contributed to elevating the position of Bahraini women in the decision-making positions and assuming high-profile responsibilities in the governmental entities and private sector as well as in the civic society organisations and reaching advanced ranks locally, regionally and internationally.
The minister expressed his aspiration for more cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the Supreme Council of Women in order to maintain the momentum and accelerate the achievements of the Bahraini women and to ensure successful developmental projects, activating and qualifying innovative women to engage them in the labour market and boost their self-reliance, empowering them economically, and their provision with suitable career commensurate with their capacity to work, produce and excel in the private sector establishments.
