Shura Chairman congratulates Interior Minister on international award

Manama, Aug. 27 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has expressed sincere congratulations to the Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, following the winning of the ‘Maan’ (Together) programme against violence and addiction of the international Stevie Award 2019 in two categories:’Personality of the Year’ and ‘Administrative Team’. Al-Saleh stressed that the ‘Maan’ Programme deserved the prestigious award thanks to its sound planning and valuable activities that have contributed significantly to strengthening preventive measures to protect youngsters and youth. He wished the Interior Minister further success in attaining more achievements and successes that would consolidate Bahrain’s security and stability, under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s leadership. The Shura Chairman sent a similar congratulatory cable to the Bahraini Ambassador to US, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa marking his winning the ‘Personality of the Year Award’ for 2019 through the ‘Maan’ programme’s win. He asserted that the award confirms the ambassador’s ability to launch meaningful programmes and lead a distinguished team with innovative ideas and valuable programmes that have contributed to consolidating the protective measures that protected Bahraini youngsters and youth, on the one hand, and earned the kingdom international acclaim, on the other.
