Ambassador to China hosts dinner banquet in honour of BBA president

Beijing, Aug. 28 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA), HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has attended a dinner banquet hosted by Bahrain’s Ambassador to China, Dr. Anwar Al-Abdula, in his honour and that of his accompanying delegation. BBA president is on a visit to China to attend the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Congress, and the opening of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019, held here. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali praised China’s outstanding preparations for hosting FIBA Congress and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019, highlighting the importance of such world gatherings in developing basketball and improving the players’ skills and performance. He underlined the kingdom’s interest in developing basketball, in light of the support accorded to it all levels, noting that BBA has succeeded in boosting the game and increasing its popularity, citing the honourable accomplishment of basketball in Bahrain, the last of which Bahrain’s winning the 17th GCC Basketball Championship. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali highlighted BBA’s continuous support for FIBA’s development plans for the best interests of basketball in Bahrain and the world.
