DUTCH COMPANY READY TO BUILD INTERNATIONAL PORT IN BANTEN
Serang, Apr 6 (ANTARA) - DETEC International, of the Netherlands, expressed readiness to build the international port of Bojonegara (PIB) in Serang regency, Banten.
Promotion Head of the Banten Investment Coordination Agency Ikhsan Budiantara said here Monday the Dutch company has expressed readiness to build the Bojonegara international port this year.
He said his office has several times attended a meeting to express its readiness to build the PIB.
"I think the Dutch company was serious in building the project, and had already officially expressed their interest in building the international port," he said.
He also said copies of the letter expressing the readiness had already sent to the relevant government institutions, including the finance ministry, the ministry coordinating the economy, and the Banten Governor.
The regional administration would first sign a memorandum of understanding, followed by a review of the project's design and master plan.
Besides, DETEC International also expressed readiness to build the necessary infrastructure like a toll road.
Actually, before DETEC, Ikhsan said, there was another company interested in making an investment in Banten province.
In the meantime, Head of the Banten capital investment coordinating agency M Husni Hasan said many foreign investors have expressed interest in making an investment in Banten because of its rich natural resources.
