Foreign Minister meets US Federal Communications Commission Chairman

Manama, Sep. 7 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today the Chairman of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Mr. Ajit Pai, and his accompanying delegation, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed FCC Chairman and his accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of the historical friendly relations and strategic alliance between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, in addition to the continuous development and progress of relations in light of the common interests to strengthen the strategic partnerships and develop various aspects of bilateral cooperation. He highlighted the great opportunities and potential to develop cooperation in the field of telecommunications in light of the great attention paid by the Kingdom of Bahrain to this sector and its excellence and progress as an important pillar of development. Mr. Ajit Pai expressed his pride in the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America which are based on mutual respect and appreciation, praising the progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields and particularly in the telecommunications sector, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
