NIHR receives Canadian diplomat

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Maria Khoory, received Canada's Riyadh-based first secretary accredited to Bahrain, Angele Lu, NIHR president briefed the Canadian diplomat about the NIHR and its role in protection and promotion of human rights in the Kingdom. They discussed topics of shared concern as well as the bilateral cooperation in presence of NIHR commissioners and secretary general. The Canadian diplomat thanked NIHR for the meeting, and praised its considerable role in development of the status of human rights in Bahrain.
