Speaker receives UK ambassador

Manama, Sept. 16 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, received the newly appointed British Ambassador to Bahrain Roderick Drummond. Speaker Zainal congratulated the ambassador on his new post, wishing him success in carrying out his duties, in enhancing the bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, especially the parliamentary one for the benefit of both countries and peoples. Ambassador Drummond expressed his appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his keenness to enhance and develop the relations between the two countries, praising the development witnessed by Bahrain. He stressed his country's keenness to further work to promote the distinguished relations between the two countries.
