Assam blasts toll rises to 10

Guwahati, Apr 7 (PTI) The Assam serial blasts toll rose
to 10 Tuesday with the death of two more persons, including a
woman.

Sahida Khatun who sustained burn injuries in the blast at
India's northeatern part Maligaon here died early this morning
at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital, official sources
said.

Another person, Suman Dutta (28) who was hurt in the
Dhekiajuli blast in Sonitpur district died at the army base
hospital in the district headquarters of Tezpur.

Monday multiple blasts had rocked the state with the
majority of casualties occurring at Maligaon in Guwahati.

Blasts of lesser intensity also occurred at Jengpha in
Karbi Anglong district, a busy market place at Dhekiajuli in
Sonitpur district, Mankachar police station in Dhubri
district, while a grenade hurled at a commercial building at
Amjuli in Udalguri district did not go off. PTI ESB
