Interior Ministry: drug trafficker arrested in cooperation with Gulf state

Manama, Sept. 17(BNA): The Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science announced on Tuesday the arrest of a man who used to smuggle drugs into Bahrain from a Gulf country. He said that the case was settled as part of the exchange of security information between Gulf States. The investigation into the received information and coordination with the Anti-narcotic authority in the Gulf country led to the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of 8 KG of Hashish. He said that legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
