Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets Saudi Ambassador

Vienna, Sept. 17(BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of the National Committee on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa and her accompanying delegation, met today on the 17th of September 2019, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Federal Republic of Austria, and its Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the sidelines of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency held in the Austrian capital Vienna.
The two sides reviewed their brotherly bilateral relations and discussed means to enhance cooperation and coordination with regard to the work and activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to serve the interests of both Kingdoms.
The Undersecretary affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and their aligned positions on all issues before the General Conference. In this regard, the Undersecretary congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for being a member of the Board of Governors of the Agency from September 2019 and for two years, where the nomination of the Kingdom has received an abundance of support from the countries of the Middle East and South Asia.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended her well wishes to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Federal Republic of Austria for continued success in his duties and for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity.
The Undersecretary also paid a visit to the Saudi Pavilion at the IAEA building, which is organized by the Nuclear and Radiological Control Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the conference, where she was briefed on the most vital projects undertaken by the Authority in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
