NCC holds meeting with Government Communication Network

Manama, Sep. 18 (BNA): The National Communication Centre (NCC) held its periodic meeting with the Government Communication Network at the Information Affairs Ministry’s complex, in the presence of the communication directorates at ministries and government entities. The meeting discussed the government’s communication plans for the months of September and October, as well as NCC’s role in coordinating and determining the communication priorities, in accordance with a work mechanism that that is consistent with the goals of unifying the government’s media discourse through an effective and constructive communication system by activating partnership with all government entities. Acting Strategic Planning Director at NCC, Maram Mahmoud Al-Barduli, reviewed NCC’s efforts and coordination with the Government Communication Network to highlight events held by ministries and government departments, and enjoyed a distinguished coverage by the traditional and new media, at the local, regional and international levels, stressing that the results achieved on the ground are promising and that the best will be attained in the coming period. She called on the members of the Government Communication Network to contact the NCC and take advantage of the workshops it holds for the employees of the communication directorates at ministries and government entities in various disciplines, such monitoring and analysis, strategic planning, new media and traditional media, stressing that NCC has already started training some communication and public relations staff in ministries and government institutions. During the same meeting, a number of communication officials reviewed the efforts exerted by ministries and entities in highlighting the main projects they are currently implementing. In this regard, Director of Communication and Marketing at the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), Lulwas Sami, briefed the meeting about iGA’s services, citing the launch of the credit report eService. Meanwhile, Hala Salman, from the Executive Bureau of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainuna), highlighted the latest developments regarding the implementation of the National Plan, with the participation of all the official sides. Members of the Government Communication Network praised NCC’s support for government institutions, which, they said, has contributed to enhancing concerted efforts to achieve public interests in constantly keeping up with the government’s achievements and supporting communication in various fields. They also reviewed the main events, programmes and activities of ministries and government entities during the coming two months. NCC renewed its commitment to undertaking its national role by providing support to government institutions and enhancing coordination of joint efforts among all ministries and government entities. It also stressed its unwavering efforts to strengthen the government’s communication system effectively, sustainably and strategically to build more bridges of communication among government entities to enhance the confidence of the citizens, ensure everyone’s support for national interests, achieve further progress in the field of national communication, and highlight the various government initiatives, the achievements of the Kingdom, as well as its success stories, development and progress.
