FMs of Kyrgyzstan, Turkey discuss bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Sept.19, 2019. /Kabar/. Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu took place in Budapest yesterday, Sept.18. The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service reported that the meeting was held within the framework of participation of Aidarbekov and Çavuşoğlu in the informal meeting of foreign ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States. During the meeting the issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey were discussed, including the timing of the Kyrgyz-Turkish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation. The sides noted the need to continue active work to achieve the goals, set by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey following the exchange of visits at the highest level in 2018. The foreign ministers also discussed the issues of cooperation within the international organizations, support to their elected bodies, as well as exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda. They also noted with satisfaction the successful implementation of agreements on visa issues, reached during Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Aidarbekov's visit to Turkey in May 2019.
