Bahrain to attend Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) Meeting

Manama, Sept. 20 (BNA): A parliamentary delegation d by Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal will take part in the 4th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) Meeting, scheduled to be held on Monday and Tuesday (September 23-24) in Kazakhstan. A Shura Council delegation led by First Deputy Chairman Jamal Mohammed Fakhro will also take part in the two-day session, themed “Greater Euro Asia: Dialogue, Culture, Partnership. Bahrain’s participation followed a invitation from Russian State Council Duma President Vyacheslav Volodin and Korean National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang. Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal and Shura Council First Deputy Chairman Jamal Mohammed Fakhro will addressed the event, stressing the importance of Euro Asian partnership. The legislative branch of government is keenness on promoting parliamentary diplomacy and opening up channels of communication to strengthen cooperation and dialogue between the Asian and European countries.
