Foreign minister attends high-level dialogue on Financing for Development

New York, Sept. 26(BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, participated in the High-level Dialogue on Financing for Development (FfD), which was held at the United Nations in New York. The meeting was attended by a number of heads of State and Government participating in the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting aims to examine ideal means to assist in the provision of resources and strengthen the partnerships necessary to accelerate progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and to assess, work on and support efforts in this area. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also commended the relentless efforts exerted by the United Nations in supporting development, especially in light of the challenges facing the countries of the world. He also called for the necessity of combining all efforts in order to overcome these challenges and reach a better future for all countries to meet the aspirations of their peoples, towards further progress and prosperity. The Minister also underlined the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to its unwavering approach of cooperation with the United Nations to advance progress in all areas.
