Foreign Minister participates in High-level meeting on small island developing states

New York, Sep. 27 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated in the High-level meeting to review progress made in meeting the priorities of Small Island Developing States through the implementation of the Accelerated Action Procedures for Small Island Developing States (Samoa Pathway) held at the United Nations in New York. The objective of the meeting is to assess the efforts of Small Island Developing States and to address the challenges they face in achieving sustainable development, especially five years after the conclusion of the “Samoa Pathway” Agreement on Supporting Sustainable Development in Small Island Developing States, as well as to explore ways to address the negative impacts of climate change and develop cooperation and partnership to enhance their ability to overcome various challenges.
