Bahrain Polytechnic to focus on artificial intelligence

Manama, Oct. 2 (BNA): Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, has stressed commitment to offering high standards of education and training in the Kingdom.
"It is very exciting day for Bahrain Polytechnic," he said. "We have been undergoing a review by Bahrain Quality Assurance for our institutional quality and today we were rewarded our certificate to identify that we are meeting all the expectations in the kingdom of Bahrain," he told Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
It is a very comprehensive process where many documents are reviewed and many interviews take place, he added.
"But at the same time, with all that hard work and after many months, today is commemoration and we received our certificate, it is a special day to us," he said.
"Also, it is good about knowing that we got good quality foundation that allows us to move forward on other activities, so we are in the process of introducing new majors."
Zabudsky stressed Bahrain Polytechnic was involved in "lots of kind new training activity."
"We are launching the artificial intelligence academy here at the Polytechnic in partnership with Microsoft and with Tamkeen to offer really state of the art training in this whole emerging world of artificial intelligence," he said.
"We are very excited about our new Huawei lab, the new information communications technology center of excellence that been supported by Huawei to deliver some leading edge training in Huawei network technology"
The numerous "exciting programs" are for people who want to upgrade themselves and their skills so that they can be promoted in their jobs and they can partake in new sectors of the economy.
"We are focused on that new life learning where we can make use of our campus in the evening and in the weekends; it is busy during the day. Our students come to us from high school, but we have something to offer, this is our focus this year."
