Foreign Minister receives Lord David Richards and Lord George Robertson

Manama, Oct. 3 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received Former Chief of Staff in the United Kingdom Lord David Richards and Lord George Robertson, currently visiting the Kingdom. The minister affirmed the strong historical relations between Bahrain and the UK in light of their constant mutual keenness to enhance cooperation, coordination and communication in various fields. The two countries, he said, are in constant interaction to open up wider horizons for the overall bilateral cooperation aspects and to development coordination mechanisms on all issues of common concern, noting the important UK’s important role regional security and stability. Lord Richards and Lord Robertson praised the close relations of friendship between the two countries and peoples and appreciated Bahrain’s role in promoting collective action against various challenges.
