The Minister of Cabinet Affairs highlights the importance of the 2019 Government Forum

Manama, Oct. 3 (BNA): The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Mohammed bin Ebrahim Al Mutawa, noted that the 2019 Government Forum, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, following the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, is a platform to continue achieving government aspirations and the implementation of wide-ranging projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing government efficiency and the delivery of high quality government services, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad, and in accordance with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
HE the Minister highlighted that the Government Forum will include high-level plenary sessions, focusing on the Government Programme 2019-2022 “Sustainable Economic and Social Security in parallel with Fiscal Balance”, enhancing the quality of government services, creating promising employment opportunities (National Employment Program), and turning challenges into opportunities.
HE Al Mutawa added that the government is actively pursuing the delivery of sustainable high-quality government services in order to meet the aspirations of citizens, in parallel with the implementation of the Fiscal Balance Program, which aims at achieving a balance between government expenditure and revenue by the year 2022.
The Minister pointed out that a number of government ministries and agencies will be recognized during the 2019 Government Forum in the following categories:
1. Government Best Practices Award
2. Customer Service Excellence Award for Customer Support via Tawasul
The Government Forum is a vital platform that brings together all segments of Government to exchange views on public policies and programmes in order to continue improving the efficiency of the public sector.
