Al-Arahbi calls to enhance partnership with EU, donors

SANA'A, April 08 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi affirmed here on Wednesday the importance of enhancing partnership between Yemen and each of European Union (EU) and the international donor organizations.

During an enlarged meeting with ambassadors of the EU's States and representatives
of the donor organizations, al-Arhabi made reference to the results of the 3rd
Post-Consultative Group Follow up meeting between the government and donors held in
Sana'a on April 5th.

He appreciated the donors' initiative for reinforcing the government's efforts that
aim to encounter the economic challenges emerged as a result of the global finance
crisis.

The foreign officials expressed their satisfaction of the outcomes of the 3rd
meeting, voicing readiness to support the Yemeni efforts to face the challenges.

On the other hand, al-Arhabi reviewed during a meeting with the French ambassador to
Yemen Gilles Gauthier means of enhancing mutual cooperation relations between the
two countries.

He voiced the Yemeni appreciation for the French adherence to support the
development process in the country.
