President Saleh extends condolences to Italy over earthquake
SANA'A, April 08 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Wednesday a condolence letter to Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on the L'Aquila earthquake.
President Saleh said that Yemenis are saddened to learn about the loss of lives and
destruction caused by the earthquake.
"We are in Yemen would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the government and
people of Italy at this difficult time," he said.
The earthquake that hit central Italy on Monday has killed over 200 people, injured
some 1,500 and left around 70,000 homeless.
