Customs president receives OFOQ system team

Manama, Oct.7 (BNA): The President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa received on Monday the members of the OFOQ (Horizon) system team for winning the Government Best Practices Award in the Government Forum 2019. The Directors-General and Directors of the Customs Affairs attended the meeting. He conveyed the best wishes of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He also conveyed greetings from Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The President of Customs expressed thanks and appreciation to the team for their achievements. OFPQ is highly secure, electronic trade facilitation system of Bahrain Customs, which provides the trading community and regulatory authorities with a fully eCustoms and eTrade compliant environment. The system is based on TradeWorldManager Portal and its integrated technology which provides a common platform for integrating electronic trade documents from Customs, Regulatory Authorities, Cargo Scanning Facilities, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Banks and Port Authorities. It will form the backbone of Bahrain's National Single Window.
