Foreign Minister meets UK Minister

London, Oct.17 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, currently on an official visit to the United Kingdom, met with UK Minister of State for International Trade and former Chairman of the UK-Bahrain All-Party Parliamentary Group Connor Burns. Shaikh Khalid congratulated Mr. Burns on his assumption of the post of Minister of State for International Trade, expressing his pride and appreciation for the distinguished friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. He also praised the continuous progress of bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially in economic and trade areas, stressing the importance of continuing exchanges of visits between officials of the two countries to open up wider horizons at all levels. In his turn, Mr. Burns expressed his pride in meeting with Shaikh Khalid, noting the progress witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain at various levels and wishing it further progress and prosperity.
