Minister receives German envoy

Manama, Oct. 24 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak received German Ambassador to Bahrain, Kai Boeckmann, and praised the strong ties between the two friendly countries, reinforced by cooperation in various developmental fields. The two also discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in the fields of exchanging expertise and experiences, transferring knowledge in the field of electricity and water, building capacity and developing cooperation between Bahrain and Germany. They discussed the most important projects carried out by the Electricity and Water Authority in line with Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and its national strategy to achieve the requirements of urban and population growth. The ambassador congratulated the Minister on his appointment as Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs and thanked him for the welcome and the hospitality. He stressed his country's readiness to strengthen the existing cooperation in the electricity and water sectors to serve the interests and aspirations of the two friendly countries.
