Customs president hails BIDEC economic contribution

Manama, Oct.27 (BNA): President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa asserted on Sunday the role of the 2nd edition of the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019) in reinforcing the economic power of Bahrain. He said that the event contributes to the economic, trade and tourism growth, hailing the role of National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in the success of the BIDEC. The President of Customs inspected the section of the Customs Affairs at the exhibition and was briefed about the preparations, through the allocation of around the clock office to receive the exhibits for inspection and screening, along with providing all related facilities. The department cleared 129 shipments that include 653 packages. Eight employees have been assigned to work in four shifts.
