Speaker praises success of Bahrain's security system

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the kingdom's achievement in clinching the fourth place internationally in the Security Index among 141 countries covered by the Global Competitiveness Report 2019 which was presented at the World Economic Forum. She described the accomplishment as an added value to Bahrain's track record of achievements in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the Representatives Council Speaker said Bahrain's winning of the third place internationally in dealing with organised crimes, the fifth place regarding police services and ninth place regarding a decrease in murder crimes underline success of the kingdom's advanced security system. She also praised the key national role of the Interior Ministry, affirming the Representatives Council's support to it and the security system. The Representatives Council Speaker extended congratulations to Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and all the ministry's personnel on the remarkable achievements which reflect tireless work, readiness of the security bodies and keenness on the security of the nation and people. She stressed that the accomplishment contributes to backing the kingdom's comprehensive development march, the Economic Vision 2030 and attracting more economic projects and programmes. She also pointed out that the accomplishment coincides with the centenary of Bahrain Police, stressing keenness on boosting security and stability as a prerequisite for growth and development.
