SCW President to patronise scientific forum

Manama, Oct. 28 (BNA): Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the SCW will organise tomorrow Tuesday, in cooperation with Bahrain Polytechnic, a scientific forum themed “Bahraini Women and Future Sciences”. The event, which will be held at Bahrain Polytechnic premises, is one of the main activities to mark the Bahraini Women’s Day which will be dedicated this year to pay tribute to women in higher education and future sciences. The two-day forum aims to shed light on Bahraini women in the future sciences field and challenges facing them. The three winning teams in the first scientific hackathon, launched by SCW in cooperation with Bahrain Polytechnic and Brinc Batelco, will be announced in the event. The forum will feature panel discussions over two days on future sciences professions, gender balance, legislation, institutional policies and frameworks to keep abreast of future sciences fields, quality education and training, academic research and “knowledge management”.
