HH Shaikh Nasser meets military officials

Manama, Oct. 29 (BNA): Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), Major-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, met, in the presence of the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a number of military officials who are participating in the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019). HH Shaikh Nasser met the Commander of the US Fifth Fleet, Vice Admiral James J. Malloy, the Director of the French Forces’ sales in the Middle East and Africa, the Secretary General of the Centre for Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, Air Vice Marshall Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Mughaidi, and Deputy National Armament Director at the Italian military forces, Vice Admiral Dario Giacomin, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, Domenico Bellato. Major-General HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of exchanging views and opinions among officials, in light of the current situation in the Middle East. HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of being informed about the opinions of the parties who are living in the region, as they are well-informed about the military developments surrounding them. The meeting discussed a number of topics of mutual concern, and stressed the importance of the participation of the officials of military and civil trade and industrial sectors in BIDEC. The military officials expressed thanks to HH Shaikh Nasser for the warm welcome, affirming that BIDEC provides a suitable platform for experts to exchange experiences.
