Importance of Middle East Military Technology Conference stressed

Manama, Oct. 29 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Royal Guard Commander Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the gigantic progress in the military and defence sector which came under the spotlight at Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019), held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He pointed out that technological progress is one of the key topics raised this year. Major General HH Shaikh Nasser was speaking during his participation in the Middle East Military Technology Conference, held as part of BIDEC 2019. He noted that the conference is held at a hard time undergone by the Middle East. He stressed the importance of the event in evaluating the current situation and mapping out a forward-looking and strategic vision for the international defence sector, in the presence of high profile decision makers, officials and experts in this field. Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa pointed out the large scale international participation from 60 countries in the conference, adding that more than 200 pioneering companies in the defence field are taking part in the event. He stressed that those figures reflect vitality of the sector and the importance of the event as a unique platform for officials, experts and companies to exchange views and broaden the scope of cooperation.
