NON-VOTERS AT SOME POLLING STATIONS IN JAKARTA MORE THAN 40 PCT

Jakarta, Apr 9 (ANTARA) - The number of people who stayed away from the polling stations in Cipinang Besar, East Jakarta Thursday reached 40 percent, which was more than the total number of people in the Voters List (DPT).

At Polling Station 6, for instance, covering three neighborhoods (RTs) in Cipinang Besar Selatan, a total of 246 of the total of 478 people listed on the DPT, or 51.46 percent, stayed away from the polling station.

In the meantime, at Polling Station 5 in Cipinang Besar Selatan, 119 (37.07 pct) of the total of 312 people on the DPT stayed away. And 14 votes for the House of Representatives (DPR) were invalid.

At Polling Station 4, 161 (40.65 pct) of the total of 396 people on the DPT stayed away from the polling station, while at the Polling station 2, 181 (43.30 percent) of the 418 people did not appear at the polling station, and at TPS 3, 201 (45.68 percent) of the 330 people stayed away.

In the meantime, several of the TPS, the Democrats Party collected most of the votes. At TPS 6, the Democrats Party got 63 votes, PDIP 27, PKS 21, and Gerindra 11 votes. At TPS 3, the Democrats Party got 72 votges, KS 61, PPP 18, PAN 10, and PDIP 7 votes.

At TPS 4, the democrats got 96 votes, PKS 29, PPP 28, PAN 25, and Gerindra trailing behind with only 11 votes.
