YUDHOYONO: DEMOCRATS PARTY STARTS MAKING POLITICAL CONTACTS FRIDAY

Cikeas, Bogor, Apr 9 (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Democrats Party's Advisory Board Bambang Susilo Yudhoyono said the provisional vote tally shows that the Democrats Party has started contacting other political parties to discuss a coalition.
"As of Friday (Apr 10), we will be making intensive political communications. It would not only be done by me in person, as it could also be done by the general chairman or the party executives, introducing the strategic thoughts identical with my thoughts as chairman of the party's advisory council," Yudhoyono said at his residence in Cikeas, Bogor, on Thursday evening.

However, the head of state was still reluctant to comment on the provisional result of vote tally, as he still has to wait for the official vote tally from the General Election Commission (KPU).

"While the result of the quick count is often no different from the official outcome, I still have to wait for the final result from KPU," he said.

However, Yudhoyono thanked for the results which placed the Democrats Party as the winner and also asked all executives and cadres of his party to maintain togetherness in running the government in the next five years.

Yudhoyono predicted that as of tomorrow, political dynamism will be more attractive following much information on a coalition to be built among the political parties toward the upcoming presidential election in July.

According to him, there was no change in attitude of the Democrats Party in calling on all sides in the government to create harmonious and healthy relations with the parliament.

The president also asked the political elites and political party executives to maintain peace in the general elections.
