Deputy Premier receives IPI President

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister, HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received here today the President of the International Peace Institute (IPI), Terje Rod-Larsen. The deputy premier praised the key and pivotal role played by IPI in spreading the peace culture globally, and supporting the international efforts aimed at strengthening the pillars of security and stability. HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa underlined Bahrain’s support for any initiatives aimed at consolidating peace, in light of the instability witnessed by some regions in the world, and which create challenges to such endeavours. The deputy premier also reviewed with Terje Rod-Larsen areas of cooperation with IPI, in line with the kingdom’s keenness to enhance security and stability all over the world.
