UN AWARD FOR TNI IN CONGO
Jakarta, April 10 (ANTARA) - The United Nations has awarded the Indonesian contingent Conga XX-Fa Monuc Medal for its successful peacekeeping mission in the Congo for six months.
The presentation of the Monuc Medal took place in a military ceremony at a Guasfor (Guatemala Special Forces) camp in Bunia, Congo, Friday, led by Brigade Commander Brigadier General Fachrudin Khaidir flanked by Guatemala Contingent Commander Colonel Jorge Enrique Lopez Juarez, and Task Force Commander of the Garuda Contingent Garuda XX-F/Monuc, Mayor Sugeng Haryadi Yogopranowo.
Information Officer of Konga XX-F/Monuc Captain Leo Sugandi in an electronic letter received by ANTARA in Jakarta Friday said that the award was given to UN military personnel who had carried out a mission of at least six months in the Democratic Republic of Congo. ***5***
